São Paulo Senate Candidate Discusses Crime Fighting and Supreme Court Changes
Soninha Francine, a Senate candidate for São Paulo representing Cidadania, gained prominence by presenting proposals to combat organized crime and by questioning the conduct of Supreme Federal Court (STF) ministers.
Proposal for a Task Force Against Organized Crime
In an interview with R7, the candidate advocates for the creation of exclusively dedicated working groups, shielded from corrupt interference, to investigate the presence of organized crime in sectors of the legal economy. She points out that money laundering occurs, for example, in the sale of adulterated fuel, and that the fight must combine intelligence, repression, and investment in urbanization, culture, sports, and leisure.

Soninha emphasizes that prevention should start in childhood, offering art, culture, sports, and leisure so that children and teenagers have successful role models different from crime. She links areas with disordered occupation and lack of access to facilitating territorial control by drug trafficking.
Debate on an Ethics Code and Term Limits for STF Ministers
In interviews with R7 and Gazeta do Povo, the candidate criticizes the STF's actions, stating that the court has overstepped its prerogatives and that there is a need for an ethics code to evaluate the conduct of the ministers. She suggests eight-year terms for the magistrates and questions the transparency of international trips made by the ministers.
Stance on Impeachment Proceedings
Soninha argues that Congress has sufficient elements to initiate impeachment proceedings against ministers whose conduct is questionable, citing names such as Alexandre de Moraes, Dias Toffoli, and Gilmar Mendes.
