Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the portal Explosão Solar, accessible at explosaosolar.com, collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects the personal data of its readers and visitors, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018) and other applicable Brazilian regulations, including the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet — Law No. 12,965/2014). By using the portal, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Data Controller
The controller of personal data processed in connection with the portal is Explosão Solar, responsible for the website explosaosolar.com. For any matter related to privacy and data protection, including the exercise of rights under the LGPD, the official contact channel is the e-mail address contato@explosaosolar.com, which also serves as the data protection officer (DPO) channel.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to operate the portal and provide our services, in the following circumstances:
- Browsing data: when you visit the portal, we automatically collect, through cookies and similar technologies, information such as IP address, date and time of access, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, pages visited, time spent, referral source, and device identifiers. This data is processed predominantly in aggregate form.
- Contact form and e-mail: when you write to us, we collect your name (if provided), e-mail address, and the content of the message, solely to respond to your request.
- Newsletter: upon subscription, we collect your e-mail address and, optionally, your name, as well as consent records (date, time, and source of subscription) and delivery metrics such as opens and clicks, used to maintain a healthy mailing list.
We do not deliberately collect sensitive personal data (such as health information, religion, or political affiliation) or data from children and adolescents. If we identify such data submitted spontaneously, it will be deleted, unless there is a contrary legal obligation.
3. Purposes of Processing
- To provide, operate, and improve the portal and your reading experience;
- To measure audience, understand which content interests readers, and guide editorial decisions;
- To display advertising, including personalized advertising where consent has been given;
- To respond to messages, story suggestions, correction requests, and data subject requests;
- To send the newsletter to subscribers;
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and attacks, and to ensure platform security;
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal Bases
We process personal data based on the following legal grounds set forth in Article 7 of the LGPD:
- Consent (Art. 7, I): for newsletter delivery and for non-essential advertising and analytics cookies;
- Legitimate interest (Art. 7, IX): for basic audience measurement, platform security, and service improvement, always respecting your reasonable expectations and fundamental rights;
- Compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation (Art. 7, II): for keeping access logs as required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet);
- Regular exercise of rights (Art. 7, VI): when necessary in judicial, administrative, or arbitration proceedings.
5. Data Sharing
Explosão Solar does not sell personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Audience analytics tools: we use statistics and measurement services that process browsing data on our behalf to generate aggregated reports on portal usage;
- Advertising networks and partners: advertising platforms may collect identifiers and browsing data, subject to consent, for the delivery and measurement of campaigns;
- Infrastructure providers: hosting, e-mail delivery, and security services strictly necessary for portal operations;
- Public authorities: where there is a legal obligation, court order, or request from a competent authority.
We require all contracted processors to make commitments to confidentiality and compliance with the LGPD. Where international data transfers occur (for example, to servers of global providers), they will be carried out with appropriate safeguards, in accordance with Articles 33 and following of the LGPD.
6. Retention and Deletion
We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes of this Policy: access logs are kept for a minimum of 6 months, as required by the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet); contact messages are kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and for up to 2 years for historical reference; newsletter data is kept while the subscription is active and deleted upon unsubscription, except for minimum records evidencing consent and opt-out. Upon expiry of the applicable periods, data is securely deleted or anonymized.
7. Data Subject Rights (Art. 18 of the LGPD)
You may exercise the following rights at any time, free of charge:
- Confirmation of the existence of processing;
- Access to your data;
- Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
- Anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary, excessive, or unlawfully processed data;
- Portability of your data to another service provider, subject to applicable regulation;
- Deletion of data processed based on your consent;
- Information about the entities with which we share data;
- Information about the possibility of withholding consent and the consequences of refusal;
- Withdrawal of consent, at any time;
- Objection to processing carried out under other legal grounds, in the event of non-compliance with the LGPD.
To exercise any of these rights, send an e-mail to contato@explosaosolar.com with the subject line Personal Data, describing your request. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity as a security measure. We will respond within the statutory deadlines and, where immediate action is not possible, we will inform you of the reasons. If you believe your rights have not been upheld, you may file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
8. Information Security
We adopt technical and administrative measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access and accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, or dissemination, including traffic encryption (HTTPS), restricted access controls, activity logging, and periodic vendor reviews. No system is completely secure; should a security incident occur that poses a significant risk to data subjects, we will notify the ANPD and those affected, in accordance with Article 48 of the LGPD.

10. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect legal, technological, or operational changes. The current version will always be published on this page, with the effective date indicated at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the portal. Continued use of the site following the publication of changes constitutes acknowledgment of the updated version.
