2026 Presidential Election Polls

Research institutes Quaest and Datafolha will release this week the results of their polls on voting intentions for president. Quaest started its poll on Sunday, August 30, and plans to conduct in-person interviews with 2,004 Brazilians until Tuesday, September 1. Datafolha will release its next poll on Thursday, after in-person interviews with 2,004 voters.

Quaest and Datafolha Polls

Quaest will conduct its tenth presidential poll this year, and the second in a series commissioned by Grupo Globo. The survey plans to conduct in-person interviews with 2,004 Brazilians until Tuesday, September 1. Datafolha will release its next poll on Thursday, after in-person interviews with 2,004 voters.

Veritá Institute

The Veritá Institute will also conduct a poll on the presidential election, which will start interviewing voters on Tuesday, September 1. The Veritá Institute's survey will measure voting intentions in a scenario with thirteen names, as well as test five possible runoff matchups between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro, Augusto Cury, Pablo Marçal, Renan Santos, and Ronaldo Caiado.

First Poll to Test Runoff with Augusto Cury

Quaest will release on Wednesday the first electoral poll for president in the 2026 elections with a runoff scenario featuring candidate Augusto Cury among the options presented to respondents. This comes after Augusto Cury's growth in polls in recent days.

Poll Methodology

The polls will be conducted through in-person interviews or cell phone calls, with a structured electronic questionnaire and an automated unit of audible and audible responses. The samples were designed to represent the Brazilian electorate and use the Probability Proportional to Size method, with multi-stage selection and distribution criteria by sex, age, education, and economic level.
