Vote intention polls released this week position André do Prado (PL) as one of the leading names in the race for São Paulo's two Senate seats. His prominence comes after the disclosure of results showing technical ties with other candidates, generating significant interest among voters.

André do Prado in the São Paulo Senate Race

André do Prado, former president of the State Legislative Assembly, is running for the Senate under the Liberal Party (PL). He is among the five candidates vying for the two available seats in this election.

Poll Standing

In the Real Time Big Data poll, released on the morning of September 14, André do Prado received 17% of vote intentions, in a technical tie with former minister Simone Tebet (PSB) and with congressman Guilherme Derrite (PP), who leads with 19%.

First and Second Choice Comparison

The same poll presents the distribution between first and second votes. For the first vote, André do Prado appears with 14%, while for the second vote his support rises to 19%, indicating that some voters consider him as a support choice.

Technical Tie with Other Candidates

In addition to the tie with Simone Tebet, André do Prado also shares the same percentage of 13% with former minister Marina Silva (Rede) for second place, according to the two-percentage-point margin of error. This scenario of technical ties increases the competitiveness of the race.

Second Round Perspective

As voters must choose two senators, the distribution of votes between first and second choices can be decisive. André do Prado's presence among candidates with a higher percentage in the second vote suggests he could secure one of the seats even if not leading in the first vote.

Other Polls on the Candidate

Datafolha, in a survey conducted between September 8 and 10, indicates 11% support for André do Prado, placing him behind Marina Silva (13%) and Simone Tebet (13%). Despite a lower percentage than the Real Time poll, the candidate remains among the top five most cited.
