The secret to better stress management may start at breakfast
Study shows daily habits like eating breakfast and exercising impact psychological flexibility.

Daily routines can have a far greater impact on the ability to cope with stress than imagined. This is what a study conducted by researchers at Binghamton University, which examined roughly 400 university students, indicates.
According to the data gathered, habits such as regularly eating breakfast, exercising, getting good sleep, and using fish oil were associated with higher psychological flexibility. This trait helps people adapt more efficiently to stressful situations.
Habits harmful to resilience
Conversely, the study also identified factors that negatively affect coping capacity. Poor sleep quality and inadequate eating habits were directly linked to lower levels of flexibility and resilience in the face of everyday pressures.
The results highlight how simple everyday choices influence mental health and adaptation to challenging scenarios, reinforcing the importance of basic self‑care and nutrition for psychological balance.
