Flávio Bolsonaro Denies Pact with Tarcísio and Discusses Film

Presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro denied having negotiated a deal with Governor Tarcísio de Freitas to end presidential re-election in exchange for greater campaign engagement. The statement was made this Monday during an event at the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp).

The denial regarding the re-election pact

During the event with business leaders in the capital of São Paulo, the candidate stated that he did not need any pact to walk alongside Tarcísio. According to him, the two have always walked together and should continue to do so.

The discussion on the topic arose after reports indicated that the campaign had proposed ending re-election, to take effect for a potential presidential term. Flávio Bolsonaro declared that the proposal to end presidential re-election has always been his own platform and that this specific coordination did not come from him.

Investigation into the film Dark Horse

On the same date, the Federal Police obtained access to data from the São Paulo Civil Police investigating whether parliamentary amendments funded the film Dark Horse, which covers the life of Jair Bolsonaro. The material will be analyzed in an inquiry at the Supreme Federal Court authorized by Minister Flávio Dino.

Asked about the production's accounts, the candidate stated that the production company spent more than it received and that the accountability of funds took place within the scope of the investigation in São Paulo. He also directed criticisms at the current government and cited investigations involving the president's relatives.

Defense of working hours and relationship with Fiesp

During his speech at the organization, the senator defended the freedom of workers to choose their own working hours as an alternative to abolishing the 6x1 work schedule. The proposal provides for direct negotiation between employee and company.

Fiesp president Paulo Skaf avoided declaring direct support for the candidate, but highlighted that the liberal economic positions advocated by the senator are viewed favorably by the institution.
