Justice Authorizes Resumption of Flávio Bolsonaro's Visits to His Father
Ruling comes at the end of the 90-day suspension imposed in July

Federal Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes on Monday, the 12th, cleared the resumption of Flávio Bolsonaro's visits to former President Jair Bolsonaro, ending the 90-day suspension established in July.
Resumption of Flávio Bolsonaro's visits to his father
The decision came after the expiration of the 90-day period that had barred meetings between the senator and his father. The justice highlighted that there were no intervening facts indicating a need to extend the measure.
Conditions imposed for the new visitation regime
Visits will resume under the same schedules, conditions, and security measures previously established. Political-electoral purposes and the dissemination of any statements, including by third parties, are prohibited, pursuant to the decision of 7/17/2026.
Security procedures for accessing the residence
Flávio Bolsonaro and his companions must undergo vehicle and personal searches conducted by Federal Police officers upon arriving at and leaving Jair Bolsonaro's residence in Brasília. The use of cell phones, recording devices, or any recording of the meetings is prohibited.
Restrictions on former President Jair Bolsonaro
Even with the authorization of visits, Jair Bolsonaro remains barred from giving interviews or using family members, lawyers, or third parties to speak to the public, according to the precautionary measure that remains in effect.
Context of the suspension and defense request
The suspension of visits was ordered on July 13, when Moraes concluded that Flávio Bolsonaro had been used as an intermediary to release a political statement written by the former president. Bolsonaro's defense requested an early end to the ban, but the justice reviewed the petition only after the period expired.
