Caoa Chery has officially launched the new Tiggo 7 SUV line in the Brazilian market. The mid-size SUV underwent visual updates, interior changes, engine recalibration, and a restructuring of its sales options in the country.

Lineup Restructuring and Launch Prices

The SUV's lineup has been divided into three main configurations: Sport, Pro, and PHEV. With the catalog's reformulation, the former 48V mild-hybrid variant is no longer marketed by the automaker.

For the initial presentation phase, the manufacturer set prices starting at R$ 139,990 for the Sport option. The Pro configuration was announced with a promotional price of R$ 169,990, while the top-of-the-line PHEV has a fixed price of R$ 209,990.

Engines and Mechanical Calibration

In the entry-level Sport configuration, the SUV adopts a 1.5 turbo engine calibrated to deliver 143 hp of power and 22.7 kgfm of torque, coupled with a CVT automatic transmission with nine simulated gears.

The intermediate Pro model features a 1.6 turbo engine with direct injection, producing 180 hp and 28 kgfm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission. The PHEV version, on the other hand, uses a plug-in hybrid system with a dedicated transmission and an 18.4 kWh battery, achieving up to 1,200 km of combined range.

Visual Changes and Cabin Space

The Tiggo 7's exterior design received a redesigned front grille with diamond-pattern details, new LED headlights, and unified taillights that span the trunk lid. The alloy wheels are 18 inches in the entry-level version and 19 inches in the higher configurations.

Inside, the central console has been modified and incorporates a compartment with heating and cooling functions, in addition to a 50 W wireless phone charger. The model offers an integrated screen for the instrument cluster and the multimedia center with wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Assistance and Safety Features

The SUV's safety package includes driving assistance items such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot alert. The vehicle also features an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function.
