MS Military Police Lieutenant Colonel Found Dead in Campo Grande

A retired Mato Grosso do Sul Military Police lieutenant colonel was found dead on Sunday morning on Tamandaré Avenue, in Campo Grande, after gunshots were initially mistaken for the sound of a motorcycle.

How the body was discovered

A customer at a nearby gas station spotted the man lying on the street. Gas station employees heard the shots but believed them to be motorcycle noise. Upon realizing the situation, the customer alerted the employees, who then called the police.

The lieutenant colonel had a gunshot wound to the chest and was found next to a weapon. The area was cordoned off, and forensics carried out the necessary procedures to clarify the death.

Sexual Abuse Allegation

In August, the officer's daughter, now 33, reported her 52-year-old father for statutory rape and other crimes against sexual dignity. She reported abuses that began at age 9, with the first forced sexual intercourse at age 13, and pressures starting at age 15. The complaint also mentions threats with a firearm to silence the victim.

The daughter stated that she had witnessed her father sexually molesting her brother's daughter, and that her own brother had also been a victim of abuse in childhood. The document indicates that these episodes had already led to legal and police actions against the investigated individual.
