Pernambuco Military Police exam notice published
Registration begins on October 5 and exams are scheduled for February 2027
The government of Pernambuco published this Tuesday (29) an extra edition of the Official Gazette containing the notice for the new Military Police (PMPE) exam. The release comes after the hiring of the organizing institution and features 1,320 vacancies, which explains the surge in searches for the term "edital pmpe 2026".
Vacancy details and requirements
The exam offers 1,250 vacancies for the position of soldier and 70 for officer. Registration will be open from October 5 to November 5, exclusively on the Instituto AOCP website. Candidates must meet the educational and physical fitness requirements stipulated in the notice.
Exam schedule
The PMPE objective exams will be held on February 21, 2027, and will take place in Recife, Arcoverde, Caruaru, and Petrolina. The schedule follows the same model adopted for the Penal Police and Fire Department exams, which were recently announced.
Vacancy reservation and inclusion
The notice reserves 5% of the vacancies for people with disabilities, 25% for Black and mixed-race individuals, 3% for Indigenous people, and 2% for quilombolas, in accordance with the state's affirmative action regulations.
Stages of the selection process
The exam will be divided into an objective test, psychological evaluation, medical examination, and, for those who pass, a training phase. The organizing institution will be responsible for receiving documents, appeals, and publishing the results.
Context of the exam board hiring
The hiring of Cebraspe, announced on September 24, represents the final phase before the official opening of the exam. The same organizer conducted the last Penal Police exam in 2021, ensuring familiarity with the exam structure and grading criteria.
