Mother finds daughter dead, femicide case shocks Campo Grande

A desperate search by a mother for her missing daughter ended in a tragic discovery that has mobilized authorities in Campo Grande. Adriele dos Santos, 34, was found dead by her mother on the afternoon of Saturday (29) in a house in the Santo Antônio neighborhood. The case is being treated initially as a possible femicide, generating great repercussion and making the topic “mother” one of the most searched.

The discovery of the body

The Military Police were called around 1 p.m., after the victim failed to show up for work. Unable to contact her daughter, Adriele's mother went to the residence on Rua Brasil Central. After climbing over the wall, she found Adriele lifeless on a sofa with a rope around her neck. The case is being treated as a possible femicide, and the Civil Police of Mato Grosso do Sul are investigating the circumstances of the death. The Fire Department and the Criminal Forensics Unit were called to carry out the necessary procedures on site. A police officer estimated that the death may have occurred around 10 p.m. on Friday (28), more than 12 hours before the body was located. The forensic examination should help clarify the exact cause and the dynamics of the death.

The suspect and relationship context

Adriele's husband, identified as Aparecido de Sousa Doirado, 46, is the main suspect. He voluntarily presented himself at the Civil Police Station to give statements. The victim's mother told officers that Adriele was going through a separation process, and the relationship had been unstable for about four years, marked by break‑ups and reconciliations. Security cameras captured the man leaving the house in the morning accompanied by the couple's three‑year‑old son. The husband had told the victim's mother that Adriele had been taken to the Santa Casa, which contradicted the security footage.
