In another July 2025 message, Rennó asked whether the "R$500,000 per month" transfer to the lawyer should continue, to which Vorcaro replied with "kkkk."
Payments to Consult Inteligência Tributária
A report by Estado de S.Paulo indicated that Consult Inteligência Tributária paid Kevin Marques R$281.6 thousand for specialized legal services in the administrative tax area. Kevin's firm stated that he never rendered services to Banco Master nor received money from Vorcaro, acknowledging only the receipt from Consult.
Reaction of Minister Kassio Nunes Marques
In a statement, Minister Kassio Nunes Marques declared that he never voted in favour of Banco Master and that his son never received money from Daniel Vorcaro. The text explained that the minister's vote in a case concerning compensation for sugar‑cane‑alcohol plants was cast while he served as vice‑president of TRF‑1, and that the decision had no direct link to Master.
STF plenary and Moraes investigation
The conversations surfaced a few hours before the plenary session in which the STF will decide whether to authorise an investigation into Minister Alexandre de Moraes for his relationship with Vorcaro. The plenary will assess whether 52 exchanged messages between Vorcaro and Moraes constitute a minimal indication to launch a probe.
Position of André Mendonça
Minister André Mendonça, the rapporteur of the inquiry, denied any irregularities in the conduct of the investigation. In a statement presented to the Court's president, Edson Fachin, Mendonça explained that he ordered the Federal Police to identify the people mentioned in Vorcaro's dialogues and that the summons of investigators was carried out in person to preserve the integrity of the proceedings.
