Vance declared that certain characteristics of today’s world would not surprise him if the Antichrist were present in human interaction. The interview also covered an AI‑generated image previously posted by Donald Trump, in which the leader was depicted as Jesus. The post made host Bryce Crawford uncomfortable and drew criticism even from Christian supporters before Trump deleted it, initially claiming he had believed the figure showed him as a doctor caring for patients.

Vance defended Trump, arguing that he did not intend to mock or imitate God. According to the vice president, the campaign partner has a sense of humor, enjoys making jokes to keep the atmosphere relaxed, and did not intend to offend the faithful with the illustration.

Remembrance of the 2024 assassination attempt

Vance recalled the attack carried out on July 13, 2024, in Butler, Pennsylvania, when Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on Donald Trump, wounding the leader’s ear and killing a supporter before being killed by Secret Service shooters. Vance said that, had the attack succeeded, the United States would have faced a real civil conflict with profound impacts on the legitimacy of the political system.

The vice president admitted that, had Trump’s death materialized, he himself would have shared the suspicion held by many voters that a conspiracy led by shadowy forces had taken the Republican candidate’s life before his return to power.
