Gonzalo Plata leaves Flamengo and completes sale to Dynamo Moscow

Striker Gonzalo Plata said goodbye to Flamengo's squad on Friday morning and has a flight booked to Russia. The transfer comes amid negotiations with Dynamo Moscow and confirms his absence from Sunday’s derby.

Plata was at the Ninho do Urubu on Friday for his last training session with the red‑black club. He is expected to travel on Saturday for his presentation at Dynamo Moscow. He will be accompanied by Matheus Martins from Botafogo, who was also sold to the same Russian side. Both players miss the derby at the Maracanã.

Negotiation value and terms

The deal is reported at €10 million, roughly R$ 60.1 million, plus an additional €2 million in bonuses. Flamengo had signed the forward in the second half of 2024 from Al‑Sadd of Qatar.
