Last Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) announced the annulment of Enap notice nº 260/2026, which published the classification of candidates for 544 remaining vacancies of the Unified National Contest (CNU). The decision was prompted by inconsistencies found in three of these positions.

Reason for Annulment

The MGI identified errors in the data of three vacancies sent by federal agencies. As the CNU classification model allows candidates to compete simultaneously for different positions, correcting just three opportunities could alter the entire call-up order. As a precaution, the ministry chose to revoke the notice entirely.

Impact on Candidates

The lists published in September, which contained the classification of candidates for the remaining vacancies, are no longer valid. Until a new notice is published, candidates should consider the previous classification suspended and await the new disclosure to know whether they have been called up or not.

MGI's Next Steps

The agency informed that it will conduct a new consultation with all participating bodies and entities to confirm which vacancies remain available. After this step, the call-up results will be reprocessed, and new lists will be generated. The new notice is expected to be published by the end of October 2026.

What Remains of the Contest

The annulment refers only to notice 260/2026 and the lists of remaining vacancies that underpinned it. It does not alter previously made call-ups nor the validity of prior acts of CNU 2. The contest, which featured 3,652 vacancies distributed across 32 federal agencies, continues with the planned stages for filling still unoccupied opportunities.

How to Follow Updates

Candidates should monitor the official channels of Enap and MGI, especially the Official Gazette of the Union, where new call-up acts will be published. It is recommended to keep the opening notice, any received call-up proofs, and the registration number to facilitate verification when the new list is released.
