What's the Weather Like in São Paulo Today?
According to the CGE, temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 19°C and 32°C, with relative humidity around 35%. Inmet indicates a risk of thunderstorms and hail in several regions of the country, including São Paulo, and has issued a yellow alert for possible storms.
Forecast for the Afternoon of August 31st
Isolated rain showers may appear throughout the afternoon, accompanied by thunderstorms. G1, with data from Climatempo, indicates sun with some clouds, quick rain during the day and at night, with highs of 29°C and lows of 17°C.
What Brings the Change from September 1st Onwards
A cold front coming from the coast is expected to reach Greater São Paulo as early as Tuesday afternoon (1st). It will bring rain, wind gusts, and a drop in temperatures, with highs between 15°C and 22°C and lows close to 9°C throughout the week.

On Tuesday, the weather remains overcast, with many clouds, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, in addition to moderate wind and gusts at night. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature reaches 12°C and the maximum 18°C, under clouds and thunderstorms. On Thursday, the dawn will be chilly, with humid fog and a minimum of 9°C; the day warms up to 25°C and humidity drops to 35%. On Friday, the weather warms up again, with a high of 28°C, a low of 15°C, and humidity around 25%, with no indication of rain.
Expected Impacts in the Capital
The intense heat of August 31st, combined with low humidity, favors the formation of scattered clouds and quick rain showers. The cold front is expected to intensify atmospheric instability, generating more persistent rains, winds above 50 km/h, and the possibility of hail, according to Inmet's alert. Paulistanos should pay attention to temperature variations throughout the day, especially in the early morning hours and at dusk, when the difference between the maximum and minimum can reach more than 10°C.
