The 71st edition of the Barretos Rodeo Festival began this Thursday (20) and will run until August 30, drawing nearly one million expected visitors.

Infrastructure investment for the lineup

The park received R$30 million in upgrades, including a hotel complex with 251 apartments, 250 VIP cabins, and more than 116 staff apartments. The goal is to provide the necessary structure for the 150 musical acts spread across five stages, with the rodeo arena designed by Oscar Niemeyer as the main one.

Main attractions of the festival

Gusttavo Lima returns as ambassador and will perform twice on the Stadium Stage, on August 22 and 29. In addition to the rodeo, the program includes shows by artists from various genres, reinforcing the diversification the organizers seek to attract festivals beyond traditional sertanejo.

Gusttavo Lima's giant motorhome

The singer brought a large motorhome, pulled by a Volvo FH 460 truck with 460 hp. The set includes a king‑size suite, full bathroom, lounge with leather sofas, large‑format TV, generators, lithium batteries, and solar panels, plus water tanks that increase camping autonomy.

Accommodation capacity and logistical support

The park can host up to 20,000 people in the campground, while the city of Barretos offers about 4,000 beds. Neighboring Olímpia adds over 35,000 beds in resorts and hotels. Ribeirão Preto airport, about an hour away, facilitates access for visitors from all over the country.

Economic impact of the lineup

With projected revenue of R$600 million, R$150 million comes from ticket sales, which were increased by up to 20 % on some days. The rest comes from sponsors, food, parking, commerce, and hospitality, reflecting the importance of the lineup for the local economy.
