The Rock in Rio festival is preparing new features for the audience at City of Rock, including technological innovations on the World Stage and special performances. Event organizers and artists are already revealing details of the structure that will define the days of concerts.

The World Stage Mega-Structure

The festival grounds have gained prominence with the brand-new World Stage, which features a mega-structure of 2,400 square meters of LED panels. The immersive LED screen spans the entire front of the stage to provide visual comfort for the audience. The structure is 104 meters long and 31.05 meters high, while the proscenium is 24 meters long and 16 meters high at the center.

Projections and Artist Performances

DJ Pedro Sampaio demonstrated how he will use this innovation in his show with various projections to further immerse the audience in the performance. The festival takes place on September 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13 at City of Rock.

Drone Show at the Closing

Among the major highlights of this edition is a brand-new sky attraction. The closing of the festival will feature a drone show with 1,500 aircraft flying at about 300 meters high across an area up to 400 meters wide to form different images and designs.

Transportation and Commuting Tips

To reach the festival, the fastest transportation option is the BRT Expresso Rock In Rio, with a direct connection to City of Rock. Round-trip tickets can be purchased via the Jaé app, and the Subway will operate 24 hours a day during event days.

Safety and Comfort Tips

Organizers recommend wearing a fanny pack or money belt under clothing to keep documents and items protected in the crowd. In addition, it is important to stay extra vigilant with belongings, wear comfortable shoes to enjoy the venue, and use sunscreen.
