The Electoral Justice has reinforced its commitment to inclusion and accessibility by establishing a series of initiatives aimed at voters with physical disabilities or motor difficulties. This move responds to a significant increase in the number of citizens who fall into this profile and who seek to fully exercise their civic right.

To meet this growing demand and guarantee effective participation, the institution has focused on two main fronts: providing transportation and adapting electronic ballot boxes. The transport guarantee aims to overcome mobility barriers, ensuring that the voter reaches the polling station without obstacles.

At the same time, the adapted ballot boxes are designed to offer an accessible interface, allowing a person with a physical disability or motor difficulty to cast their vote independently. The core objective of all these measures is to enable these voters to exercise their right to vote with total autonomy and dignity, essential pillars of the democratic experience.

Autonomy in voting means the freedom of choice and the ability to express one's will without external assistance whenever possible. Dignity, on the other hand, is ensured when the electoral process respects each individual's particularities, providing an equitable environment for everyone. By implementing these initiatives, the Electoral Justice underscores the importance of an electoral system that embraces the diversity of its population.
