Rock in Rio 2026 is buzzing as British band Jamiroquai, famous for hits like "Virtual Insanity" and "Space Cowboy", plays at the Nubank Parque stage in São Paulo, as well as in Rio de Janeiro. While the music gets the crowd vibrating, lead singer Jay Kay draws attention for his luxury car collection, which at one point surpassed the mark of over one hundred vehicles.

The band plays on Saturday (12) in Rio and on Sunday (13) in São Paulo. The show promises to include the classics "Virtual Insanity", "Space Cowboy", and "Canned Heat". The São Paulo venue is Nubank Parque, with tickets starting at R$ 345 on Eventim.

Jay Kay and his car collection

The band's frontman is known for having a car collection that has reached more than one hundred vehicles. Among the most iconic models are the Ferrari LaFerrari, ordered in 2014 in Signal Green with carbon fiber details, and the Lamborghini Diablo SE30, which appeared in the 1996 "Cosmic Girl" music video.

  • 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2, sold for US$ 313,000 (R$ 1.6 million).
  • Ferrari Enzo, bought in 2003 for US$ 530,000 (R$ 2.7 million) and sold in 2025 for over €3 million (R$ 18 million).
  • Gordon Murray Automotive T.50, valued at around £3.1 million (R$ 21.36 million), with only 100 units produced.

Jay Kay's first car

Jay Kay's first vehicle was a 1972 BMW 1602. He learned to drive in the car, which he drove for about 30,000 miles before selling it and later buying it back. In 2020, the BMW was sold at auction for £17,000 (R$ 120,000).
