Iran announces discovery of giant natural gas reserves

The Iranian government has officially announced the discovery of more than 212 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The revelation regarding the newly found volume was made by local authorities and reported by state media.
According to the released information, the amount is equivalent to more than 7.5 trillion cubic feet of the energy resource. The newly discovered deposit is located in the southern region of Fars province.
The announcement of the discovery was made publicly by Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad. Official confirmation came through state media channels.
