Monet Exhibition Arrives at Midway Mall in Natal

The exhibition “Monet's Impressionist Landscapes” begins its run at Midway Mall, in Natal, starting September 23rd, marking the first show dedicated to the French painter in the Northeast.

Occupying 800 m² on the L1 floor of the mall, the YDreams Global production offers six immersive environments. Visitors begin in the Studio-Lounge, inspired by the space where Monet painted and received guests, proceed through the Rue de Paris, which reproduces 19th-century Parisian pavement and facades, and arrive at the Impressionists' Café, a setting for meetings between Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, and Cézanne.

Each space combines projections, animations, and sensory experiences. In one of the environments, the public can closely observe the brushstrokes, the use of colors, and the different perspectives that characterize the artist's works, thanks to scenographic resources that explain the Impressionist technique interactively.

Claude Monet, born in Paris in 1840, was one of the main representatives of Impressionism, a movement that broke away from academic painting by prioritizing the capture of light and atmosphere outdoors. His work sought to record variations in the perception of the same landscape according to luminosity, time of day, and atmospheric conditions. Monet passed away in 1926 in Giverny, where he lived for over four decades and cultivated the garden that became a reference for his works.
