In September, CNN Brasil surpassed GloboNews in individual TV reach, solidifying its position as the country's leading news channel. The surge in viewership generated widespread interest across the communications and advertising industry.

According to Ibope data, the network reached more than 11.8 million people across the National Market, representing a 36% increase compared to August. GloboNews recorded 11.6 million.

Performance on connected TVs

CNN Brasil's reach expands even further when factoring in the more than 20 million people using connected TVs from Samsung, LG, and TCL—platforms where GloboNews is not present.

During the same month, CNN Brasil's YouTube channel amassed over 288 million total views, of which more than 160 million were intentional, marking its best performance since the network's launch in 2020.

On September 15, the live broadcast of the Federal Supreme Court trial regarding the opening of an investigation against Justice Alexandre de Moraes reached a peak of 467,000 concurrent viewers, placing CNN Brasil at the top of the global Streams Charts ranking for nearly the entire day.

The network's performance was recognized with a nomination for the 2026 Caboré Award in the “Content Producer” category, which assesses multiplatform delivery. In the 2026 Digital News Report from the Reuters Institute and the University of Oxford, CNN Brasil leads among the country's most trusted news outlets, with 62% trust and 17% distrust, the lowest distrust rate in the industry. In an InPress/IBPAD survey of C-level executives, the network was the most spontaneously recalled for political neutrality, cited by 21% of respondents.
