GDACS, the global disaster alert and coordination system run by the UN and the European Commission, issued a orange (moderate to high) alert for event "DOLPHIN-26" (tropical cyclone) affecting Marshall Islands, Japan, China.

From the official bulletin: From 27/07/2026 to 09/08/2026, a Hurricane/Typhoon > 74 mph (maximum wind speed of 269 km/h) DOLPHIN-26 was active in NWPacific. The cyclone affects these countries: Marshall Islands, Japan, China (vulnerability High). Estimated population affected by category 1 (120 km/h) wind speeds or higher is 14.054 million .
