Following a 3-0 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion, Arsenal return to Premier League action against Leeds United. Manager Mikel Arteta makes three changes to the starting lineup, while Leeds stick with the side that secured a goalless draw against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal take the field with lineup changes

For the home match, Arteta brings in Ben White, who returns to the right side of defense after an absence due to a groin issue. Noni Madueke comes in for Christos Tzolis, who is sidelined with an injury suffered in the Nations League with Greece. Myles Lewis-Skelly reassumes his place in midfield, with Bruno Guimarães and Jurrien Timber moving to the bench after starting in the previous clash at the Amex Stadium.

Leeds maintain starting lineup

Daniel Farke chooses not to alter the side that finished the last match in a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace. Leeds' starting XI features Trafford, Justin, Muharemovic, Elvedi, Bogle, Tanaka, Ampadu, Stach, Gudmundsson, Okafor, and Calvert-Lewin. The manager keeps the same strategy used prior to the international break.

Injuries and returns influencing the clash

In addition to Ben White's return, Arsenal have Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, and Ezri Konsa fit to start the match, despite dealing with fitness issues during the international break. At Leeds, Christos Tzolis will remain out for several weeks, opening the door for Noni Madueke. Forward Harry Wilson, a summer signing, has recovered from injury and takes a spot on the bench, replacing Daniel James, who is experiencing a back issue following duty with the Wales national team.

Expectations for the clash

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin confirmed in Arsenal's attack after scoring seven goals in the last eleven league matches, the team aims to return to winning ways. Leeds, meanwhile, look to consolidate the improvement shown in the last draw by maintaining the same tactical structure. The clash promises to be decisive for both teams in the battle for positions in the table.
