West Bromwich secured a 3-1 victory over Burnley at The Hawthorns, a result that made the match one of the most searched terms among football fans. The game was defined by a brace from Isaac Price in the second half, leaving Burnley still searching for their first win since returning to the second tier.

The start of the match and the own goal

Burnley started the match well and took the lead in the eighth minute when defender Callum Styles deflected the ball into his own net following a dangerous cross from Jacob Bruun Larsen. The incident sparked controversy, as West Bromwich protested a foul by Hannibal Mejbri during the buildup to the play.

West Bromwich's reaction and equalizer

The hosts reacted quickly to the situation and equalized ten minutes after the opening goal, with Harry Whitwell finishing first-time into the bottom right corner. Just before halftime, Burnley nearly regained the lead with a shot from Bruun Larsen that hit the post.

Isaac Price's brilliance in the second half

West Bromwich took the lead immediately in the first minute of the second half, thanks to a curling shot from Isaac Price near the left edge of the box. Price extended the lead with a penalty shortly after the hour mark, following a foul by Bashir Humphreys on Whitwell inside the area.

Teams' standings in the table

With the result, West Bromwich recorded their second win in two games and sits in second place with six points. Meanwhile, Burnley remains with just one point and has dropped to 18th place in the Championship table.
