Wanessa Camargo: bond with Isis Valverde and dad's legacy

During the interview she discussed her relationship with ex‑husband Marcus Buaiz and, above all, the interaction between her sons, José Marcus and João Francisco, and his current partner, actress Isis Valverde. She expressed calm and happiness with the family dynamics, which sparked a lot of public interest.

The relationship with Isis Valverde and the kids

In the interview Wanessa praised actress Isis Valverde and said she feels happy seeing the affection between her and the children, José Marcus and João Francisco. The singer called the coexistence “wonderful” and highlighted the way Isis treats the boys. “Isis is a dear person, she treats my kids with a lot of love. Look at the peace I feel knowing Marcus is with someone who cares and loves my children, that they feel good,” Wanessa said.

She also said she encourages the building of that bond. “I want them to love each other, for her to have those moments with them. I’m really happy, truly,” she added. Wanessa and Marcus Buaiz keep frequent contact because of co‑parenting, talking almost daily about the boys’ education, especially regarding social media and today’s world.

Marcus and Isis formalized the union in a civil ceremony in December 2024 and held another celebration in May 2025. Isis Valverde is mother to Rael, from a previous relationship. Wanessa Camargo, for her part, is currently dating actor Bruno Bevan, a relationship she made public in April of this year. She also mentioned Zezé’s longevity: he is 64 years old with more than 30 years of career, regarded as one of the biggest figures of sertanejo alongside his duo partner Luciano.

The “Metamorphosis” project and musical inspiration

Launching her 25‑year‑career project titled “Metamorphosis”, Wanessa Camargo talked about her search for lyrics that people can identify with. Her concern is to create songs that represent real feelings, based on her own experiences. “All my musical side, what I sing and what I think other people will relate to, comes from things I have lived—joys, pains, loves, loneliness, all of that,” Wanessa explained.

The singer detailed that her personal experiences directly influence her creations. “The more I suffer, the more sad music comes out; the happier I am, the more upbeat music appears. So it depends a lot on my life experiences,” she concluded. For her, the most important thing is that people feel represented in her songs.
