On August 4, 2026, UFC announced that the Freedom 250 event, held at the White House, resulted in an approximate loss of $30 million. Despite this deficit, the company posted a 29 % increase in second-quarter 2026 revenue.

Financial loss of the Freedom 250 event

Initial costs for the event were estimated at over $60 million, with no tickets sold to the general public. The final result was a $30 million loss, as noted by TKO Group’s chief financial officer, Andrew Schleimer.

Authorities present and estimated audience

The event was attended by United States President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, along with approximately 4,300 guests in an exclusive setting on the southern lawn of the presidential residence.

Partial recovery through sponsorships and partnerships

UFC managed to offset part of the expenses through sponsorships, media exposure, and global partnerships, including a fully sold inventory of partnerships.

Impact on UFC’s quarterly results

Even with the event loss, TKO Group reported a 29 % rise in UFC revenue, totaling $535.7 million, driven by an additional $64.7 million from media rights.

Media contract and global audience

Freedom 250 was streamed exclusively on the Paramount+ platform, part of a seven-year deal valued at $7.7 billion. The event averaged 34 million viewers worldwide, becoming one of the most-watched MMA events in history.
