UFC Fight Night 290, held at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, drew attention by distributing four $100,000 bonuses for fights that ended in knockouts or submissions, without awarding the traditional "Fight of the Night" prize.

Who Received the $100,000 Bonuses

The four fighters awarded were Alice Pereira, Otari Tanzilovi, Andre Fili, and Brendan Allen. Each decisively ended their fight, securing financial recognition from the organization.

Alice Pereira and the Decisive Cut

Bantamweight Alice Pereira, with an MMA record of 7-1, defeated Darya Zheleznyakova by landing an elbow that opened a cut on her opponent's forehead. Following medical evaluation, Zheleznyakova chose not to continue, resulting in a TKO victory for Pereira in the first round.

Otari Tanzilovi and the Head Kick

Otari Tanzilovi, in his first UFC victory, dropped Malcolm Wellmaker with a high kick that sent him to the canvas, finishing the fight in the second round via knockout.

Andre Fili Maintains Kicking Streak

Veteran featherweight Andre Fili, with 26 MMA victories, finished Kai Kamaka III using a powerful head kick, followed by a punch that rendered his opponent unconscious. The action occurred in the second round.

Brendan Allen Closes Event with Submission

In the main card, Brendan Allen secured victory over Christian Leroy Duncan by applying a rear-naked choke in the fifth round, forcing Duncan to tap.

Other Minor Bonus Highlights

In addition to the four major awards, five fighters received $25,000 bonuses for finishes that were not included in the main list. Among them were Allen Frye Jr., RJ Harris, Brendson Ribeiro, Niko Price, and Francisco Prado, who concluded their fights in the opening minutes of combat.
