Tom Cruise Reveals Intensity and Prepares for New Film Digger
The actor says his routine revolves around constant preparation for his next project

Tom Cruise confirmed that rumors about his demanding behind-the-scenes attitude are true and revealed details about his upcoming film Digger, scheduled to hit screens on October 2, 2026.
What is Digger and who directs it
The feature-series Digger will be directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, who dedicated about ten years to the project. Cruise and Iñárritu have been in talks about the film since 2018-2019, according to the interview published in GQ.
Intensity recognized on set
When questioned about his reputation for being "intense," Cruise responded that collaborators are informed of his high demands. He describes his behavior as "intense" and states that when he is interested in something, he wants to learn and understand it deeply.
Constant preparation routine
When asked how he spends his time outside of filming, Cruise responded that he is always preparing for the next project. He states that "I'm preparing for the next one" and that he dedicates his day to studying and learning something new, as film production can involve years of preparation.
Age does not change his approach
Even at 64, Cruise guarantees that age does not change how he views life or his career. He highlights that what changes is the pleasure of seeing people succeed and the need for constant effort to achieve dreams.
Recent public appearances
In addition to the interview, Cruise recently appeared at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, watching the Chiefs' season opener alongside Taylor Swift. In July, his 20-year-old daughter, formerly known as Suri Cruise, legally changed her last name to Suri Noelle.
