The Sou Manaus Passo a Paço 2026 festival has solidified its place as one of the Amazonian capital's top cultural events, drawing over 100,000 people on Saturday, September 5, and sparking the interest of national brands seeking to sponsor the edition.

Record Attendance on the Festival's First Day

According to the Manaus City Hall, foot traffic on Saturday surpassed the 100,000-visitor mark across the event's venues, including Casa da Cultura Urbana and Museu da Cidade. The president-director of the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism, and Events, Márcio Braz, highlighted that this figure demonstrates the event's capacity to project Manaus beyond the local scene.

National and Regional Artists on the Third Night

On Sunday, September 6, the festival featured performances by Léo Santana, Filipe Ret, and Ana Castela, alongside sets by local musicians and groups showcasing rhythms from northern Brazil in the Historic Center. The Malcher Stage also hosted DJs, dance performances by ArtFactory, and an appearance by the band Tucumanus alongside Manaus rapper Victor Xamã.

High Temperatures, but Crowd Approval

Despite the high temperatures, the crowd gave the lineup high marks. Manaus resident Elaine Nascimento stated that the heat did not stop anyone from enjoying the event, emphasizing the festival's role in strengthening regional culture.

During a press conference on the third day of the festival, Mayor Renato Junior reported that three national brands contacted the city administration to sponsor the event, driven by positive media coverage. The mayor emphasized that City Hall remains open to new partnerships, both domestic and international, to invest in the capital of the Amazon.

Sou Manaus Passo a Paço runs through September 13, featuring activities across various Historic Center locations, including concerts, dance battles, art exhibitions, and food and goods from local vendors.
