PS Plus October 2026 Reveals New Free Games

The PlayStation Plus catalog continues to expand with the arrival of three new free titles to PS Plus Essential in October 2026. Sony announced the lineup on Wednesday (30), stating that the games will be available starting October 6. Subscribers can still redeem September's four games until October 5.

F1 25 brings the world of Formula 1 to the console

The official game of the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship puts players in control of the main teams and drivers. Among the options for those who prefer to play solo are Career and My Team 2.0 modes, which allow you to manage a team. In multiplayer, the title features online competitions against other players and a new F1 World format, where you can join friends to face teams made up of AI-controlled drivers.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 places players in dark settings

The game combines first-person shooter and extraction elements in a setting inspired by the late 19th century. Alone or accompanied by up to two companions, players must face monsters, locate bosses, and compete for rewards while other hunters seek the same objectives. After defeating a target, you must carry the bounty to an extraction point without being eliminated by opponents, creating constant tension in every encounter.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 offers voxel-style combat

The title places players in a blocky version of Earth, which is under attack by giant creatures. You can rescue soldiers scattered across the world and build a team of four characters, choosing members and equipment according to your playstyle. The game gathers characters from the main series and other spin-offs, in addition to bringing familiar enemies in voxel versions and new creatures. The experience features online co-op for up to four players and local split-screen multiplayer on PS4 and PS5.

How to redeem October's games

PS Plus Essential subscribers will receive the three titles on October 6. For those who haven't redeemed September's games yet, Sony reminds that the deadline is October 5. Thus, users have enough time to enjoy the full catalog before the new month begins.
