Ponte Preta vs Juventude: Decisive clash in Serie B
Round 32 match could change the lead and avoid the division's worst campaign
Ponte Preta and Juventude take the field this Tuesday, at 9:35 PM (Brasília time), at the Ítalo Mário Limongi Stadium in Indaiatuba (SP), for the 32nd round of Serie B. The match stands out because Juventude can take the lead and Ponte Preta is trying to escape the worst campaign in the division's history.
What is at stake for Ponte Preta
Relegated with seven rounds to spare, Macaca has only 13 points, the result of three wins, four draws, and 24 losses. The club is still trying to avoid the negative record of finishing the competition with the worst campaign in Serie B history, currently held by Duque de Caxias, which earned 17 points in 2011.
What is at stake for Juventude
Juventude arrives at the match after beating Operário-PR at Alfredo Jaconi, securing their second consecutive victory and keeping their defense undefeated in 21 Serie B matches. With one point less than leaders Vila Nova, the team can reclaim the top spot if they win and the team from Goiás fails to score in the upcoming round.
