Palmeiras is the only Brazilian club currently competing for titles in three competitions at the same time. With 52 points at the top of the Brasileirão, the team has already secured a spot in the Copa do Brasil semifinals and remains in the quarterfinals of the Libertadores, facing LDU.

Palmeiras keeps three titles in contention

By eliminating Santos and advancing to the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil, Verdão became the only club in Brazil to compete for titles in three simultaneous competitions. Coach Abel Ferreira states that there is no priority among the competitions, as “everyone has to be prepared” and “we are going to risk it all”.

Lucas Evangelista reinforces squad preparation

In an interview at the Football Academy, midfielder Lucas Evangelista stressed that the team continues with the same mindset of “renunciation and sacrifice” to secure titles. He commented: “The end of the year arrives, we hammer home the point of making a sacrifice, paying the price. It's the most important phase of the year, so I think all the work we've been doing since the beginning won't be worth it if we don't finish with titles.”

Total focus on all fronts

Evangelista highlighted that no tournament should be given priority. “We cannot spare ourselves, everyone has to be prepared. Regardless of the competition, we have to play with full force,” said the player, reinforcing coach Abel's stance. He also recalled that “everyone is prepared to help whether for 90 minutes, five minutes, or even those who don't get on passing positive energy there in the locker room”.

Challenges in the sequence of games

With the need to make changes due to Arthur's suspension and the physical fatigue of the athletes, Palmeiras trains before traveling to Rio de Janeiro to face Botafogo in the 26th round of the Brasileirão. The team maintains the strategy of playing with full force in all competitions, even in the face of possible absences.

Perspective of victory in all competitions

Palmeiras continues in search of titles on three fronts, while Abel Ferreira and Lucas Evangelista keep the squad focused on “winning everything”. The team has already shown strength as a visitor, leading the Brasileirão with a 64.10% success rate, and boasts three consecutive victories over Botafogo in different competitions.
