Naruto Announces New Anime with Crossover and Original Voice Cast
Franchise prepares new releases featuring the original voices of Naruto and Sasuke.

The Naruto franchise shines with the announcement of a new anime project revealed during a special panel. The news includes the participation of the original voice actors and new details about the story's direction.
Panel features original voices and new projects
Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama, the original voices of Naruto and Sasuke, took part in the panel that unveiled the franchise's new anime. The event also hosted Yoshihiro Tominaga, executive producer at Pierrot Films, the studio behind most of the franchise's anime history.
Crossover and production team
The new anime project includes a crossover with Ninku. Created by Kōji Kiriyama, Ninku was a manga that heavily influenced Masashi Kishimoto’s career and the creation of Naruto, making the collaboration a dream come true. Both mangaka supervise the original story, while animation is directed by Tetsuya Nishio.
Limited‑series format
The upcoming production is being called a limited series, indicating a more contained run rather than a long‑running series with multiple seasons. The announcement video shows Team 7 embarking on a brand‑new mission and encountering the characters from Ninku.
Global expansion and work's history
Coinciding with Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday, the panel gathered announcements for several future projects. TV Tokyo plans a major global expansion for the year the classic anime turns 25. Kishimoto’s original manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published in Japan by Shueisha from 1999 to 2014, spanning 72 volumes, and released in Brazil by Panini.
