Australia has decided to ban AI-generated music from its official charts. The measure was announced as a direct response to a recent case involving a DJ.

The DJ admitted to using AI to produce a remix of a Madonna song, and that version reached the top of the Australian charts. The revelation prompted chart authorities to prohibit the inclusion of AI-generated works.

Under the new rule, only tracks not produced with the aid of artificial intelligence will be eligible to compete for positions on Australia's music charts.
