Kevin Viveros attracts interest from Premier League clubs

Colombian striker Kevin Viveros, Athletico-PR's top scorer in the 2026 Serie A, has become a target for Premier League clubs during the transfer window. The movement gained prominence after interest from Aston Villa and Sunderland was revealed.

Interest from English clubs

According to the SportsMole website, Aston Villa and Sunderland showed interest in signing Viveros as they sought attacking reinforcements. Both clubs are enjoying good spells in the English league and are participating in international competitions.

Contract and valuation

Viveros has a contract with Athletico-PR until July 2028 and is expected to renew for another season. The renewal agreement raises his salary to the highest in the squad and increases his release clause. Transfermarkt values the player at 10 million euros, around R$ 59.7 million, and the club has already rejected an 18 million euro offer this year.

Sale expectations

Athletico-PR expects to receive, in the coming windows, an offer of 34 million pounds (approximately R$ 234.2 million) for Viveros. The trend is for the center-forward to be sold in 2027, potentially generating a significant sum for the club.

He is also the first Athletico-PR player to score more than 15 goals in a single Serie A season in the last 13 years.

With 17 goals, Viveros entered the top 10 of foreign players with the most goals in a single Serie A edition, tied with Luis Suárez. He is also close to Jonathan Calleri, Giorgian de Arrascaeta, Beto Acosta, and Carlitos Tevez, who occupy the top positions in the ranking.
