Inter Miami hosts CF Montréal this Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the Miami‑based Nu Stadium in a match counting toward the 23rd round of Major League Soccer 2026. The fixture pits two sides looking to rebound after recent periods of instability.

How the teams arrive at the duel

Inter Miami sits second in the Eastern Conference with 39 points but is trying to shake off a slump. The Florida club has gone winless in several games, including a recent 1‑2 home loss to Toronto FC. Across the border, CF Montréal sits 14th on the table, with five wins in 21 matches and an uneven campaign.

Lionel Messi and the attack

Led by Lionel Messi, Inter Miami is banking on its captain and season’s top scorer, who has 14 goals. The Argentine shares the offensive spotlight with Luis Suárez and Berterame. CF Montréal, meanwhile, looks to Prince Owusu, the Canadian side’s leading scorer with 13 league goals.

Absences and likely line‑ups

Both squads will be missing key players. Inter Miami will be without Micael, Mateo Silvetti, Santiago Morales and Tadeo Allende. The likely home lineup features St. Clair; Fray, Luján, Falcón and Reguilón; Casemiro, Segovia and De Paul; Messi and Suárez; Berterame, under the interim coaching of Ángel Guillermo Hoyos.

CF Montréal faces a long list of absences, including Wiki Carmona, Bode Hidalgo and suspended Brayan Ceballos. The visitors are expected to line up Gillier; Bugaj, Neal, Vera and Petrasso; Longstaff, Loturi and Pereira; Streit, Owusu and Ríos, coached by Philippe Eullaffroy.

Coaching change

The Florida showdown also comes amid a development at the home club. Inter Miami announced the hiring of Argentine Cristian Kily González as the new head coach, although he is still awaiting the necessary approvals to officially take charge on the sidelines.
