On Monday, September 14, Globo's nine o'clock soap opera, Love Cares, had its plot altered when Francesca (Nathalia Dill) revealed to Otoniel (Tony Ramos) that Heitor, son of Arthur Brandão (Antonio Fagundes), is alive. The character, who had been presumed dead after an accident abroad, appears on screen at a pilgrim camp, surrounded by mountains, where he lives a simple and practical life.

Heitor Returns to Plot at Pilgrim Camp

Renato Góes, who plays Heitor, underwent an aesthetic transformation to portray Arthur's son's routine. Short hair, a distinct beard, and practical clothes reflect Heitor's life of traveling, practicing extreme sports, and participating in pilgrimages. Costume designer Flávia Costa described the look as "a practical guy" who carries everything he needs in his backpack.

Francesca's Revelation Changes Family Dynamics

The news Francesca delivers to Otoniel causes the Brandão family to react. Otoniel, who was the mediator among the members, is perplexed to learn that Arthur's son, presumed lost for years, still exists. The announcement is made before Heitor's arrival in Brazil, which will occur in subsequent episodes.

Heitor Appears in Mountain and Pilgrimage Setting

Heitor's first appearance takes place in Wednesday's episode, September 16, when he appears at a pilgrim camp. The scene shows the character arriving at the location, being greeted by other pilgrims, and then identifying himself as Heitor. The production maintained the mystery about his identity until he turned to the camera.

Impact on the Dispute for Arthur's Inheritance

With Heitor back in the story, the plot gains a new point of tension: the dispute over Arthur Brandão's inheritance. The son's return alters the balance of power among family members and opens space for new conflicts and alliances. Heitor's presence also brings to light the story of his loss, which remains without a body ever being found.

Expectation for New Episodes

Heitor's return promises to alter different storylines of the soap opera. The plot continues to explore family relationships, secrets, and the ambitions of each character. Heitor's debut, scheduled for the week of September 14 to 19, brings a new chapter to the Brandão family saga.
