PSOL-Rede Federation formalizes support for Lula's re-election bid
The federation's national convention confirms the alliance for the presidential race

The PSOL-Rede Sustainability Federation formalized support for the candidacy of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for the Presidency of the Republic. The decision was announced during the federation's national convention, held this Thursday (5).
Support procedure in party conventions
In general, national conventions of parties or federations serve as institutional spaces to define electoral strategies, choose internal leadership and, when relevant, declare support for candidacies. During the session, present delegates can discuss and vote on the organization’s official position, legitimizing the choice before the electorate.
By formalizing support, the federation integrates its organizational structure into the campaign program of the backed candidacy, allowing resource mobilization, joint publicity, and coordination of grassroots actions. This formalization is usually recorded in the federation’s internal documents and communicated to the public through releases and official statements.
Electoral calendar context
- The support process occurs before the legal deadline for candidate registration.
- Federations that formalize support can participate in electoral campaigns in accordance with the rules set by the electoral court.
- After formalization, the federation can join coalitions or remain as an individual support, according to the adopted strategy.
With the formalization this Thursday (5), the PSOL-Rede Sustainability Federation adds its institutional weight to the electoral landscape, indicating its continued participation in upcoming presidential contests.
