On Tuesday (23), São Paulo and Rio Branco prepare for Ice Cream Day with buy-one-get-one gelato promos, free cones, and exclusive flavors. The date, which celebrates the frozen dessert, brings activity to ice cream shops across the country, offering discounts and freebies to attract customers.

São Paulo brings together ice cream shops with unique flavors

• Albero dei Gelati – three locations in the city. Owned by Fernanda Pamplona, awarded Ice Cream Maker of the Year by COMER & BEBER 2025, the shop features flavors that change according to ingredient availability. Prices start at R$ 21.00 (up to two flavors). Address: Rua dos Pinheiros, 342, Pinheiros.
• Cangote Sorvetes – opened in 2022, offers vegan options such as guava and siriguela sorbet. Scoops start at R$ 15.00. Addresses: Rua Aureliano Coutinho, 278, Vila Buarque and Avenida São Luís, 187 (Galeria Metrópole).

• Pine Co. – run by brothers Daniel and Raphael Lee. It offers about twenty rotating options daily. The shop was a champion for the third time by COMER & BEBER 2026.

Rio Branco announces exclusive promotions

• Hours 11 AM to 4 PM: one free small cup for the first 100 customers at each location. Branches: Bairro Floresta, Avenida Ceará, and Epaminondas Jácome (not valid at Via Verde Shopping).
• Hours 2 PM to 10 PM: buy one scoop of ice cream and get one free; applies to regular cones and large waffle cones. For every two scoops, the customer gets a cone.
• Popsicle promotion: buy one and get another of the same type in any quantity.
• Starting at 4 PM, Tropicale's first 20 customers get a handcrafted waffle cone with a scoop of ice cream.
• Cone promotion: the first 300 customers at each location get a free cone; valid for in-store purchases only.
• 300 ml milkshake: buy one and get another one free; participating flavors: vanilla, chocolate, passion fruit, and brigadeiro.

Other cities also celebrate with promotions

• In Espírito Santo, Borelli is giving away free cones during the Gelato Free event (2 PM-4 PM), with 300 units per store in Vitória, Vila Velha, Serra, and Linhares.
• Real Gelateria offers buy-one-get-one-free gelato at two locations (Rua João da Cruz, 151, Praia do Canto, and Shopping Vitória, Av. Américo Buaiz, 200, Enseada do Suá).
• At Sal & Mel, a 600 ml tub of gelato costs R$ 50 (1 PM-9:30 PM) in Itapuã, Vila Velha.
• Le Gustto Gelateria is creating a gelato tasting board for R$ 49.90 in Pedra Azul.
• Cremino Gelato & Café is handing out artisanal cinnamon cookies as a giveaway in Praia do Canto.
• Barutti offers a small cup for R$ 12 (regular version R$ 22) across multiple Greater Vitória locations.
• Shopping Vitória is promoting the I Love Gelato circuit, featuring combos for R$ 22.90, including options with gelato, brownies, cookies, and coffee.

In 2026, Acre recorded a 16% growth in ice cream orders at restaurants between January and August, and Rio Branco saw a 12% increase. The most ordered flavors in the country were açai, chocolate, Neapolitan, strawberry, and chocolate chip (flocos), with notable highlights for dulce de leche (>51% growth), pistachio (41%), and coconut (24%).
