National Multivaccination Campaign 'D-Day' Takes Place This Saturday

The 'D-Day' of the National Multivaccination Campaign for children and adolescents under 15 takes place this Saturday in Paraíba to update overdue vaccination records. The nationwide mobilization began in August and runs until September 1 at various locations.

Target audience and age group of the mobilization

The mobilization serves children and adolescents under 15 years of age, as well as people of other age groups who have overdue vaccines. However, some immunizers are exclusively intended for the campaign's target audience.

Immunizers available in the drive

There are 20 vaccines from the official calendar available to update overdue doses. Among the immunizers offered are BCG, hepatitis B, pentavalent, polio, human rotavirus, 10-valent and 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate, meningococcal C, influenza, COVID-19, yellow fever, meningococcal ACWY, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), varicela, DTP, hepatitis A, Td (tetanus and diphtheria), HPV4, and tetravalent dengue.

20-valent pneumococcal vaccine

The 20-valent pneumococcal vaccine is administered in a campaign and protects against diseases such as pneumonia and meningitis. The immunizer was included in the vaccination schedule in June and is indicated for children under 5 years old.

In João Pessoa, service takes place at Family Health Units, the Municipal Immunization Center, polyclinics, mobile stations, shopping malls, and health units. Operating hours vary depending on the chosen location.

Vaccination sites in Campina Grande

In Campina Grande, vaccination takes place across 60 points distributed throughout the municipality, including Parque da Criança, the Integration Bus Terminal, the Central Market, polyclinics, Basic Health Units, and the Elpídio de Almeida Health Institute.

Documents required for vaccination

Guardians must present the child's identification document—preferably the CPF or the Unified Health System (SUS) Card—and the dependent's vaccination record. Guardians must also bring their own identification documents to verify the vaccines received.
