Cristina Mullins surprises and returns to soap operas in Por Você

Actress Cristina Mullins surprised the public by reappearing without prior announcement in the early episodes of Globo's new 7 PM soap opera, Por Você. The artist had been away from soap operas for five years, since a special appearance in the plot of Salve-se Quem Puder.

The surprise appearance in the new 7 PM soap opera

Written by Dino Cantelli and Juliana Peres, the soap opera Por Você brought the veteran's return discreetly during its first week of airing. In the show, she plays Dulce, a maid for Bela, a character played by Sheron Menezzes. The character assists the doctor in her apartment and closely follows the changes brought about by the arrival of the four children of Juli, a role played by Lucy Ramos. Although the artist's name was not listed in the plot's cast, attentive fans quickly recognized the actress's sweet voice right in the first episode.

A successful trajectory in television drama

Born in São Paulo, Cristina Mullins began working in television in the late 1970s. National acclaim came in 1982, when she starred in the original version of the soap opera Paraíso, in the role of Maria Rita, known as Santinha. The following year, she took on the lead role of Liliane, known as Pituca, in Voltei pra Você. Throughout her career, she joined the cast of several landmark productions in Brazilian television.
