October’s night sky is packed with surprises and astronomical events. According to information released by NASA, the period promises striking celestial phenomena for observers and astronomy enthusiasts.
Among the highlights announced by the space agency, four events are considered unmissable. The celestial program includes Jupiter disappearing behind the Moon, as well as the brilliance of two meteor showers that promise to light up the darkness.
The list of celestial events also features shooting stars originating from Halley's Comet. To round out the period leading up to Halloween, the night sky will showcase a bright Hunter’s Moon.
