Campaign #VotePeloCerrado Calls on Candidates to Protect the Biome

Civil society organizations have launched the #VotePeloCerrado campaign, calling on candidates in this year's elections to commit to protecting the biome and its peoples.

The initiative aims to integrate the Cerrado conservation agenda into the electoral debate, encouraging candidates to present concrete proposals for the preservation of native vegetation, the fight against deforestation, and respect for the rights of the communities inhabiting the region.

By drawing attention to the ecological and social importance of the Cerrado, the campaign seeks to create a direct link between campaign proposals and environmental sustainability, reinforcing the need for public policies that ensure the biome's conservation in future administrations.
