Nvidia Reports Record Revenue in Q2

In the second quarter of FY2027, Nvidia reported revenue of 96.22 billion dollars, a 105.8% increase over the same period last year. The Data Center segment grew by 117%, and the unadjusted gross margin increased from 72.5% to 75.0%. The expectation for the third quarter is 108.0 billion dollars.

Huang emphasized that, despite high demand, the supply of Blackwell GPUs is limited to 70%. He cited the generation of 25 billion dollars per gigawatt of revenue from Blackwell GPUs and a projection of 40 billion dollars per gigawatt for the successor, Vera Rubin. Hyperscaler investment in 2026 and 2027 is expected to reach nearly 800 billion dollars and 1.3 trillion dollars, respectively.

OpenAI has made GPT-6 Astra available on the GitHub Copilot platform, where the model is geared towards long-term coding tasks and autonomy. It stands out by planning, validating, and confirming results before completing a task, reducing the number of steps required compared to previous models.
